Summer in the FLUPCI

Since 1952, Apostolic men, women, and children have been able to make their way to the Florida District United Pentecostal Church Campground in Ocala during the summer. While there, they have found renewed hope and strength during the events held on these sacred grounds. 2023 has been no exception.

June found the campgrounds bustling with children as our Children’s Ministry camps began. During those two weeks, 43 children and one adult received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

On the heels of the Children’s Ministry camps, our Youth Team welcomed their first wave of campers at the Hyphen Camp. With just one week off, we welcomed families from across our state to our annual Family Camp. Pastors Joel Urshan and Brian Kinsey walked in unity of the Spirit as they challenged us to a deeper walk with God. Their messages are destined to live on in the hearts and minds of all that had the privilege to hear them.

The Youth Ministry followed this incredible meeting with the Junior and Senior High Youth Camps. Fourteen young people received the Holy Ghost during the three weeks of Youth Camp.

Our Spanish Camp would see record numbers of people in attendance, with 268 receiving the Holy Ghost! Each service proved to be anointed of God. We are so thankful for the great things happening in our Spanish constituency. To God be the glory!

The capstone event for the summer was our Back-to-School Rallies. Three services were simultaneously held (South, Central, and Northwest), with an estimated 1,200-1,300 people in attendance.

I humbly say that we are a blessed district. Preaching Points, Daughter Works, and new churches are actively being started across our state. We are more determined than ever to reach everyone we can with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let’s stay focused, keep our hands in the harvest, and eyes on the promises of God.
